Summary: The Data Scientist role involves supporting a leading global organization in its data and operational transformation efforts. The position requires a strong mathematical background and experience in navigating complex global environments to establish data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills to explain model logic and drive business confidence. This is a contract position with a duration of 6-12 months, classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the organization in advanced analytics, forecasting, and AI readiness.
  • Establish trusted, data-driven decision-making across a large-scale international operation.
  • Build predictive and forecasting models from multiple data sources.
  • Articulate model outputs, assumptions, and recommendations to business stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships effectively.

Key Skills:

  • Strong academic background in Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Experience working within large, complex, or global organizations.
  • Proven experience building predictive and forecasting models.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling techniques and analytical methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with structured and semi-structured data.
  • Desirable experience in Data Modelling, Data Architecture, and operational optimization projects.

Data Scientist

Location: UK / Europe (Mostly remote with some travel to London)

Duration: Initial 6-12 month contract

We're supporting a leading global organisation undergoing a significant data and operational transformation programme. As the business continues to invest in advanced analytics, forecasting and AI readiness, they are seeking a Data Scientist with a strong mathematical background to help establish trusted, data-driven decision making across a large-scale international operation .This role would suit someone who has worked within complex global organisations and understands how to navigate multiple stakeholders, diverse data sources and large-scale operational environments. Beyond technical capability, we're looking for someone who can confidently explain the logic behind their models and communicate complex concepts in a way that drives business confidence and adoption .

Experience Required

  • Strong academic background in Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Data Science or a related quantitative discipline
  • Experience working within large, complex or global organisations
  • Proven experience building predictive and forecasting models from multiple data sources
  • Strong understanding of statistical modelling techniques and analytical methodologies
  • Ability to clearly articulate model outputs, assumptions and recommendations to business stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with both structured and semi-structured data
