Data Scientist - 12 Month Contract - Fully Remote - OutsideIR35

I'm working with a well-known telecoms business that's looking for a Data Scientist to join their growing data team.

It's a great time to join: the business is investing heavily in data and AI, and this role will directly shape how analytics and machine learning are used across the organisation.

You'll work with large, complex datasets, using analytics and machine learning to solve real business problems and improve how the business runs.

You'll work closely with data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders, taking ideas from early exploration through to models running in production.

What you'll be doing

• Building, testing and deploying machine learning models that support key business decisions
• Exploring and analysing large datasets to find trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
• Working with stakeholders to understand business problems and turn them into data science solutions
• Helping improve the team's ways of working, tooling and best practices

What we're looking for

• Strong Python and SQL, Databricks
• Experience building machine learning models and getting them into production
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms (eg Databricks, Azure or similar)
• Comfortable working with large, complex datasets
• Able to explain your findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Telecoms experience is a bonus but not essential.
