Job Summary
Seeking a Data Platform Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of enterprise data platforms and ETL/ELT capabilities. The role will work closely with Data Engineering, Architecture, Cloud, Security, Analytics, and Finance teams to ensure platforms are scalable, secure, reliable, cost-effective, and aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the data platform roadmap, backlog, prioritization, and lifecycle.
- Define and manage platform capabilities across Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
- Translate business and customer needs into platform requirements and product initiatives.
- Partner with Architecture and Engineering on platform standards, reference architectures, and design patterns.
- Manage budget forecasting, cost optimization, capacity planning, and FinOps.
- Ensure security, privacy, governance, compliance, and data protection requirements.
- Drive platform adoption through documentation, onboarding, and user enablement.
- Define KPIs for reliability, performance, cost efficiency, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor emerging data technologies and recommend improvements.
- Manage multiple initiatives, dependencies, stakeholders, vendors, and priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data/Analytics, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 3 5 years of Product Management/Product Ownership experience in technology, data, analytics, or platform environments.
- Experience building data platform roadmaps and backlogs.
- Strong understanding of cloud data platforms, ETL/ELT, data governance, reliability, performance, and cost optimization.
- Agile experience with Scrum/Kanban.
- Technical knowledge of SQL, data modeling, orchestration, CI/CD, and modern data platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and prioritization skills.
