Summary: The Data Modeler for Pharma Commercial is responsible for developing and optimizing data models, utilizing extensive experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling. The role requires proficiency in data modeling software, SQL scripting, and a strong understanding of various database platforms. Additionally, familiarity with pharmaceutical data sets and sales operations is advantageous for this position. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and communication skills to effectively support data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- 12+ years of experience in Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Modeling experience.
- Erwin Data Modeling Software hands-on experience.
- Create database objects.
- Create, review and tune SQL scripting.
- Good knowledge of metadata management, data modeling, and related tools (Erwin, ER Studio, Oracle Designer or PowerDesigner).
- Data analysis and Database design experience.
- Knowledge understanding of different database platforms, such as, Oracle, Postgres, Hadoop, Snowflake, Netezza, DB2.
- Proven experience in a data warehousing & Business intelligence.
- Data Warehouse - Experience in data warehouse design and development, Experience with data warehouse, datalake, and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-center contexts required.
- Knowledge and in depth exposure to modeling strategies, such as relational (logical, physical), star, snowflake, unstructured, to support OLTP, Warehousing and Data Marts, Data Lakes, MDM.
- Excellent organization, analytical, and communication skills.
Key Skills:
- Experience of Pharma Sales Operations, Marketing, and Market Access business functions.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical data including an understanding of field sales roles including sales, managed markets, account-based teams, etc.
- Understanding of Pharmaceutical Commercial and Sales Operations group, including insights around Sales (Demand vs Forecast, Normalized Units), Channel Performance, Inventory (Days on Hand, Channel vs Warehouse), Calls (Reach, Frequency, Adherence).
- Understanding of processes & data related to Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Market Access etc. (e.g. Direct Sales, Self-Dispensing Pharmacy, Competitor Sales, Prescription, Shipment, Distribution Channel, CRM, Incentive Program, Physician Affiliations, Pricing decisions, Payer contracts, Speaker Program, etc.).
