Job Description
Seeking an experienced Data Modeler for a client-facing role supporting PB Enterprise Data Analysis and Support project.
The Data Modeler will analyze existing 2019 current-state enterprise data models and develop updated current-state data models and supporting data management artifacts.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing enterprise data models and current-state architecture.
- Create conceptual and logical data model diagrams.
- Analyze systems, integrations, data domains, information types, entities, and relationships.
- Understand relationships between systems and data across enterprise domains including Pension Plan Management, Financial Management, HR, Legal, and IT.
- Create models using tools such as Microsoft Visio and/or Power BI.
- Support enterprise data strategy and data categorization/classification.
- Advise on common data mapping.
- Support integration and API strategy.
- Support API catalog standards.
- Contribute to target architecture and modernization roadmaps.
- Advise on data warehouse/data lake use cases.
- Support Master Data Management strategy.
- Advise on technologies supporting PBAI & Data goals.
- Collaborate with project leadership, enterprise architecture, business process, and technical stakeholders.
Required Background
- Strong enterprise data modeling experience.
- Conceptual and logical data modeling experience.
- Experience working with complex enterprise IT ecosystems.
- Experience analyzing systems, integrations, data domains, entities, and relationships.
- Strong client-facing communication skills.
- Experience supporting enterprise data strategy or architecture initiatives.
- Experience with Visio and/or Power BI is valuable.

Out of Scope
Data quality analysis, physical data model analysis, system redesign, data cleansing, data quality improvements, and AI/ML solution development/implementation are outside the scope of this role.
