Summary: The Data Migration Consultant role involves managing the load phase of a data migration project from Proclaim to Salesforce for a Salesforce Consultancy on a 3-month rolling contract. The consultant will be responsible for designing staging database tables, creating Talend load jobs, and resolving load failures while liaising with a third-party transformation team. The position is remote and classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the load phase of a Data Migration project, migrating data from Proclaim into Salesforce.
- Design and creation of staging database tables to serve as the load-ready interface between the third party and Salesforce.
- Creation of Talend load jobs to perform a 1:1 load from each staging table into the corresponding Salesforce object.
- Execution and monitoring of load jobs.
- Investigation and resolution of load failures, diagnosing Salesforce error responses, and coordinating fixes with the third-party transformation team.
- Liaison with the third-party transformation team on Salesforce field-level queries and data requirements.
Key Skills:
- Experience building ETL jobs in Talend.
- Proficiency in RDMS and SQL.
- Data profiling, data reconciliation, and error handling skills.

I am working with a Salesforce Consultancy who are seeking a Data Migration consultant to join the business on a 3 month rolling contract.
The ideal candidate will have experience building ETL jobs in Talend, RDMS, SQL, data profiling, data reconciliation and error handling skills.
Job role:
- Responsible for the load phase of a Data Migration project, migrating data from Proclaim into Salesforce (transformations are handled by a third party)
- Design and creation of staging database tables - one table per Salesforce object - to serve as the load-ready interface between the third party and Salesforce
- Creation of Talend load jobs to perform a 1:1 load from each staging table into the corresponding Salesforce object, with no transformation logic required
- Execution and monitoring of load jobs
- Investigation and resolution of load failures - diagnosing Salesforce error responses, identifying root causes, and coordinating fixes with the third-party transformation team
- Liaison with the third-party transformation team on Salesforce field-level queries and data requirements
