Summary: The Data Migration Lead will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale data migration projects from Oracle to SQL Server. This remote role requires collaboration with stakeholders to define project scope and success criteria while managing risks and troubleshooting issues. The position is a 6-month contract with an immediate start based in Cardiff. The role is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution and delivery of Oracle to SQL Server data migration projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration scope, timelines and success criteria.
  • Manage risks, troubleshoot issues, provide timely resolutions and coordinate DBAs, Developers and Business Analysts.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience leading large-scale data migration projects from Oracle to SQL Server.
  • Strong skills in SQL, PL/SQL and T-SQL.
  • Key understanding of relational databases, data modelling and ETL processes.

Salary (Rate): £600 daily
