Summary: The Data Migration / ETL Lead role focuses on overseeing data migration activities for Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP implementations, particularly within Government and Healthcare sectors. The candidate will be responsible for designing and executing ETL solutions, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with various stakeholders throughout the migration process. Strong expertise in data transformation, validation, and governance is essential for success in this position. This is a contract role with a remote working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end data migration activities for Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP implementations.
- Design, develop, and execute ETL solutions for data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading.
- Analyze legacy systems and define migration strategies, mapping documents, and cleansing rules.
- Collaborate with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Perform data reconciliation, validation, and quality assurance activities.
- Execute mock migrations, production cutovers, and post-migration support.
- Troubleshoot migration issues and optimize ETL performance.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards.
- Support SIT, UAT, production deployment, and hypercare activities.
- Prepare migration documentation, status reports, and risk assessments.
Key Skills:
- 10–12+ years of overall IT experience
- 7+ years of hands-on Data Migration and ETL Development experience
- 3–5+ years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) ERP migration experience
- Strong experience with D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) and/or Customer Engagement (CE)
- Expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, KingswaySoft, or similar ETL tools
- Strong SQL development and optimization skills
- Experience with Data Mapping, Data Transformation, Data Validation, and Data Cleansing
- Experience migrating large enterprise datasets from multiple legacy systems
