Summary: The Data Migration Engineer / Consultant role focuses on migrating Finance data from various legacy systems into Business Central for a fast-growing organization. The position requires hands-on experience with data migration processes and the ability to work under pressure. The consultant will be responsible for analyzing source systems, performing data mapping, and ensuring data integrity throughout the migration process. This is a fully remote, 6-month contract position classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze legacy source systems for each OpCo.
- Understand and interrogate data models at source and target.
- Perform source-to-target mapping.
- Extract, cleanse, transform, and load data into Business Central.
- Own data migration issues through to resolution, including post-migration BAU support.
- Investigate missing, incorrect, or inconsistent data under time pressure.
- Support out-of-hours and weekend migrations when required.
- Work closely with stakeholders who depend on accurate data to run the business.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience delivering data migrations for ERP / Finance data, preferably with Business Central.
- Strong understanding of data structures, relational models, and transformations.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes.
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
- Comfortable operating in high-pressure, delivery-focused environments.
- Able to explain how you moved data, not just which tools you used.
- Strong SQL / SSIS skills are essential.

We are looking for a hands-on Data Migration Engineer / Consultant to join a fast-growing organisation during a Business Central implementation. Your core mission will be to migrate Finance data from multiple legacy systems into Business Central, repeatedly, reliably, and under pressure.
