Summary: We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead our client's Enterprise Data Governance Program, focusing on program leadership, data governance, and cross-functional communication. This role is pivotal in driving program-level strategy and governance workflows, requiring a proactive and organized individual. The position is fully remote, operating within EST hours, and involves collaboration with various teams including legal and technology. Candidates must be willing to work on a W2 basis and will receive a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and maintain the overall data governance program structure.
- Manage program backlogs, deliverables, documentation, communications, and executive updates.
- Facilitate governance meetings, steering committees, and cross-functional working sessions.
- Partner with data stewards, business owners, and other SMEs on metadata and cataloging initiatives.
- Lead a major initiative aimed at reducing and reorganizing unstructured data across the enterprise.
- Define appropriate storage and migration strategies.
- Oversee planning, milestones, risks, and cross-team dependencies.
- Serve as the central point of coordination for technical teams completing the migration work.
- Coordinate upgrades, application compatibility efforts, testing, and ML integration activities.
- Ensure all modernization efforts are aligned with governance, compliance, security, and risk controls.
- Support release planning and deployment activities across the data governance ecosystem.
- Conduct workflow and process assessments across governance and business teams.
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and gaps.
- Improve communication processes, documentation, and operating models; drive automation where possible.
- Establish scalable, repeatable processes that support a maturing data governance framework.
Key Skills:
- Strong background in project or program management, ideally with experience in structured, complex enterprise initiatives.
- Solid understanding of data governance or data management concepts (metadata, stewardship, data cataloging, risk, privacy, retention, etc.).
- Ability to collaborate confidently with privacy, security, legal, infrastructure, and technology teams.
- Familiarity with IT processes, infrastructure concepts, and technology operations.
- Exceptional organization, communication, follow-through, and stakeholder management.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support our client's growing Enterprise Data Governance Program. This role sits at the intersection of program leadership, data governance, cross-functional communication, and operational excellence.
This is a high-visibility role supporting a transformational program - ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, structured, and confident partnering with legal, privacy, security, and technology teams.
It is not a traditional IT project manager role. Instead, you will help drive program-level strategy, governance workflows, and enterprise-wide coordination.
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Pay: $70 - $75/hr W2

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
