Data Engineering Manager

Outside IR35 | £800-£900 pd | Fully Remote

Leading Financial Services business is looking for a Data Engineering Manager to lead a team of 6-7 Data Engineers delivering data products across core finance, ledger and back-office systems within a complex, regulated environment.

This role is ideal for a leader who combines strong modern data engineering expertise with a relentless focus on delivering measurable business value.

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of 6-7 Data Engineers.
• Delivering business-critical data products supporting finance and ledger platforms.
• Partnering with Product Managers and business stakeholders to translate priorities into technical delivery.
• Driving engineering standards, delivery, data quality and governance.
• Ensuring the team focuses on business outcomes, not just technical outputs.

Skills/Experience:

• Experience leading modern data engineering teams.
• Strong technical knowledge of Snowflake, dbt and cloud data platforms.
• Proven track record of delivering data solutions that create measurable business value, with a focus on outcomes rather than technical activity.
• Experience delivering data solutions that create measurable business value.
• Financial services, banking or insurance experience
• Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience with finance, ledger or back-office systems within a regulated environment (eg financial services, banking or insurance) is highly desirable.
