Summary: The Data Engineer role focuses on maintaining and developing the Data Warehouse (DWH) for reporting and regulation, requiring expertise in ETL processes and SQL. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines and packages.
- Conduct rigorous testing in response to project and incident requests.
- Gather detailed requirements for clear definition and management of requests.
- Interpret requirements and apply data engineering standards and design techniques.
- Document data warehouse component specifications.
- Participate in coding, verifying, testing, amending, and refactoring data flows and pipelines.
Key Skills:
- Solid SQL skills including SSIS.
- Experience in Oracle ETL.
- Technical knowledge of Python, Powershell, SOAP, REST, WSDL, SFTP/FTPS, TOAD, and SSMS.
- Understanding of DWH principles and data development best practices.
- Knowledge of data regulations.

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join an existing team and be responsible for maintaining and developing the DWH provision for reporting and regulation. Daily the role involves developing ETL pipelines, deploying ETL packages and rigorous testing in response to project and incident requests. You will be involved in detailed requirements gathering to enable clear definition, base-lining and management of requests. You will be able to interpret requirements and apply data engineering standards, modelling and design techniques to these requirements to define and document data warehouse component specifications to facilitate and participate in the coding, verifying, testing, amending, and refactoring of data flows, data pipelines, programs, and scripts.
Skills and Experience
- Solid SQL skills including SSIS
- Experienced in Oracle ETL
- Technical knowledge of some of the following: Python, Powershell, SOAP, REST, WSDL, SFTP/FTPS, TOAD and SSMS
- Understanding of DWH principles and data development best practices, including data regulations.
