Key Responsibilities:
- Support critical initiatives including the Data Super Friends program and other One List priorities.
- Understand data extract requirements from data analysts.
- Build ETL processes using Snowflake and Teradata.
- Analyze data sets and report any quality issues.
- Write complex SQL queries for data analysis.
- Understand complex data mappings and assist developers in resolving issues.
- Manage active projects and multiple priorities effectively.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 1+ years of SQL experience.
- Experience with Talend/Informatic ETL or Data Warehouse background.
- Strong analytical skills with sound SQL and ETL knowledge.
- Problem-solving skills with data experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Ability to own and deliver tasks with minimal assistance.

These Data Engineers will support critical initiatives, including the Data Super Friends program, the NC Merger, the CA MOU, and other One List priorities. These efforts require dedicated capacity to ensure timely delivery, reduce risks, and maintain the quality of our data integration and platform support. Expanding the team will enable us to meet growing business demands and position us for long-term success
DnA DataExchange team is a group of 17 great CenTeamers with the service mindset to help our members and providers DnA Business Unit for Various one List initiatives
Typical Day in the Role
- Walk me through the day-to-day responsibilities and a description of the project (Outside of the Workday JD).
- What are the performance expectations/metrics?
- What makes this role unique? - I Will be meeting with employee for first few weeks to make comfortable and then monitor the work week-to-week basis
- Understand data extract requirements from the data analysts
- Build ETL processes Snowflake and Teradata to achieve the desired result
- Analyze the data set requested for and report any data quality or observations with the third-party entity and internal team
- Write complex SQLs to analyze data sets for various standard extracts
- Understand complex data mappings to find issues and help developers to fix the same
- Performance measure: should be able to handle active projects and multiple priorities.
- Unique: opportunity to support critical initiatives at Centene.
Candidate Requirements
Education/Certification Required: Bachelors Preferred:
Years of experience required: minimum 1+ years of SQL experience
Disqualifiers: Missing level of SQL required
Additional qualities to look for: Talend/Informatic ETL or Datawarehouse background or Snowflake/Teradata with Cloud tools.
- Top 3 must-have hard skills stack-ranked by importance 1 Excellent Analytical skills with sound SQL and ETL knowledge
2 Problem solving nature with Data experience preferably in HealthCare
3 Owning and delivering the tasks with minimal help
