Data Engineer

Description

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This role focuses on automating data processes, building robust data models, and collaborating closely with business teams to deliver precise application-level solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, business acumen, and technical expertise in handling data transformation and modeling tasks.

Responsibilities:

Automate existing scripted processes to enhance data workflows.

Collaborate with business teams to understand concepts and translate them into technical solutions.

Work with stored procedures, dbt, and Snowflake to handle application-level data tasks.

Build and optimize data models to support sales and finance solutions.

Ensure precision and accuracy when moving application data.

Develop and maintain ETL processes to streamline data integration.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and workflows.

Apply Python to support various data engineering tasks.

Maintain documentation for data processes and workflows.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.

Requirements

Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks.
Experience with ETL processes and data integration.
Strong knowledge of Snowflake and its functionalities.
Expertise in SQL stored procedures for data manipulation.
Familiarity with Data Build Tool (DBT) for data modeling.
Ability to understand and work with business concepts and processes.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
Background in building data models for sales and finance applications.
