Summary: The Data Engineer role at Alliants involves designing, implementing, and optimizing Azure-based solutions for client projects, with a strong focus on DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement scalable, secure Azure solutions tailored to client needs.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Implement containerization strategies using Docker and orchestrate with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Set up comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
- Implement Azure security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Continuously analyze and optimize Azure resource usage for cost-effectiveness.
- Develop PowerShell scripts and Azure Automation runbooks for operational efficiency.
- Engage directly with clients to assess their infrastructure and propose tailored Azure solutions.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on Azure technologies and DevOps practices.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent experience.
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in database administration and data engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and identity.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (ARM templates, Terraform, Bicep).
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash).
- Experience with monitoring and logging solutions in Azure.
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
- Proven experience in client-facing roles and technical assessments.
