Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and support ETL routines managed in a cloud-based environment.
• Development and testing of code within the data infrastructure environment, ensuring data quality, integrity, and alerting.
• Collaborate with business subject matter experts to understand essential data requirements and manage data assets.
• Assess and evaluate proposed data/system changes impacting data performance, models, or reports, recommending amendments as needed.
• Support development of processes ensuring standards and procedures are applied, taking responsibility for the quality of own work.

Key Skills:

• Extensive ETL/ELT development project experience, including designing, developing, and building pipelines, preferably with Talend Data Fabric.
• Knowledge of MySQL and SQL Server databases with the ability to query multiple databases.
• Knowledge of cloud-based platforms.
• Experience in relational database design, including physical, canonical, and logical design.
• Knowledge of varied software development tools, methods, and technologies.
• Java/Python coding experience.
