Role: Data Engineer
We are seeking an early-career to mid-level Data Engineer (5+ years of experience) to join a high-impact data modernization initiative. In this role, you will play a key part in migrating business users' SQL code and BI reports from legacy Teradata and Snowflake environments to Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) / BigQuery.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to expand your expertise in cloud data platforms, SQL migration, analytics, and AI-assisted development tools (such as ChatGPT and Claude) to accelerate migration workflows and enhance productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, refactor, and migrate existing SQL code and business intelligence reports from legacy databases (Teradata, Snowflake) to Google Cloud Platform BigQuery.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python and SQL.
- Leverage AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) for code translation, optimization, and migration acceleration.
- Collaborate with business users and technical teams to ensure seamless data transition and accuracy.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred.
- Core Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Database Experience: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform BigQuery, Snowflake, or Teradata.
- Mindset: Strong technical aptitude, a desire to learn modern cloud technology, and a proactive attitude toward professional growth.
