Summary: The role of Senior Analytics Engineer involves leading a critical technology migration project within the fintech sector, focusing on transitioning from a legacy system to a modern tech stack that supports blockchain and cryptocurrency services. This fully remote, 6-month contract position requires expertise in data modeling, processing, and the development of data pipelines. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the new technology. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies and competitive compensation reflective of the specialist skills required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide the migration to a new data stack, including Airbyte, Airflow, Snowflake, dbt, and Quicksight.
- Utilise expert skills in Python and SQL to develop and optimise data models and processes.
- Apply knowledge of blockchain technology in data handling and staking mechanisms.
- Build robust data pipelines using Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow, and AWS Glue.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with business objectives and integrate the new tech stack.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages, especially Python, and experience with NodeJS.
- Hands-on experience with modern data technologies and tools, including Django, Flask, FastAPI, and SpringBoot.
- Prior experience or strong interest in blockchain and cryptocurrency.
- Experience with Docker, Terraform, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
- Ability to implement testing frameworks like Pytest and Great Expectations.
