Summary: Junior Data Engineer needed for a project focused on the assessment and migration of legacy digital assets into an Azure-based analytical environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support ingestion, transformation, and validation of structured and unstructured content
  • Assist with preparing artefacts for archiving, including metadata extraction and quality checks
  • Contribute to migration workflows within Azure data services
  • Follow established engineering standards, documentation, and governance
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary delivery team

Key Skills:

  • Experience working within an Azure data environment, including:
    • Azure Data Factory (pipelines, copy activities)
    • Azure Storage/Data Lake (uploading, organising, metadata handling)
    • Azure DevOps (version control, basic CI/CD use)
  • Basic understanding of ETL/ELT concepts
  • Ability to work with mixed-format content (HTML, PDF, documents)
  • Familiarity with simple data validation and quality checks
  • Strong attention to detail and structured working approach
  • Must be UK-based and remote-ready
  • BPSS required prior to mobilisation

IR35: Inside/must operate via Umbrella Company
Start: 22nd or 29th June
Location: Remote (UK-based only)
Clearance: BPSS (must be completed before mobilisation)
Hours: 37 per week

Role Overview

Junior Data Engineer required to support a large-scale assessment and migration of Legacy digital assets (HTML, PDF, slide decks). Work includes structured content triage, preparation for archiving, and migration of selected items into a modern Azure-based analytical environment.
