Data Business Analyst - Contract

Fully Remote | £550/day Inside IR35 | 6-month contract + likely substantial extension

We are pleased to be working a contract opportunity for a Data Business Analyst to support a large-scale data transformation programme with a household name retail business. We are looking for someone who is data-led first, with strong traditional BA capability, and who can bridge business and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse source data and translate business needs into data requirements.
• Lead source-to-target mapping, data quality assessment and remediation.
• Run discovery workshops, as-is/to-be analysis and stakeholder discussions.
• Work closely with Data Engineers, Architects and Modellers to shape data solutions.
• Manage dependencies across multiple teams and contribute to Agile delivery.

Essential experience

• Strong SQL and hands-on data analysis.
• Source-to-target mapping and data quality/remediation.
• Data modelling, data warehousing and complex data transformation or migration (not just reporting).
• Workshop facilitation, stakeholder management and cross-functional delivery.
• Agile experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to work independently, identify blockers and bring recommendations.

Desirable

Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, Procurement or Inventory data experience, ideally within a large transformation programme.

Contract details: 6 months | Fully remote | £550/day Inside IR35.
