Summary: The Data Business Analyst role is a contract position focused on supporting a significant cloud migration project. The analyst will work closely with technical teams to analyze and transition legacy data warehouse feeds to modern cloud platforms. This position requires a strong background in data analysis, schema design, and collaboration with data engineers. Active Security Clearance is a prerequisite for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed analysis of legacy data feeds, including schema structures, transformations, access controls, and queries, to assess suitability for cloud migration.
- Design optimised data models and structures for the new cloud platform, ensuring consistency, scalability, and performance.
- Collaborate with data engineers and architects to document changes in schemas, transformation logic, and query structures for the cloud environment.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test cases for data pipelines to ensure data quality, integrity, and functionality throughout the migration life-cycle.
- Support data discovery and analysis activities to enable smooth migration and integration.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst in large-scale data migration or cloud transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, schema design, and data modelling principles.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis, transformation logic, and query optimisation.
- Ability to create and execute test cases for data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience in AWS.
- Excellent documentation and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Active Security Clearance required.
