Responsibilities
- Design the multi-tenant Snowflake topology: hybrid of database/schema-per-client and shared objects, with RBAC, row/column policies and secure views that isolate clients yet enable anonymised cross-client benchmarking.
- Define the medallion model (bronze, silver, gold) and the governed semantic layer (semantic views for Cortex Analyst; KPIs and measures for dashboards).
- Model the event domain: events, sessions, attendees, exhibitors, venues, engagement, sensor and registration data from Cvent, Bizzabo and others.
- Design master data management and entity resolution across source systems (attendee, company, industry, role).
- Set PII handling and anonymisation levels (participant, event, geo) aligned with client consent and data-retention terms.
- Lay foundations for the post-MVP ontology and knowledge graph linking structured data with documents and reports.
- Set standards, review pipelines and advise JM's Technical Architect on AWS–Snowflake integration and cost.
Must have
- 12+ years in data architecture; 4+ years designing on Snowflake in production.
- Multi-tenant SaaS data design, Snowflake RBAC, masking and row-access policies, data sharing.
- Dimensional and data-vault modelling; semantic layer design; dbt.
- AWS data services (S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM).
- PII and privacy-by-design (GDPR / UK GDPR, CCPA).
Nice to have

- Knowledge graphs / ontologies; MDM tooling.
- Events, marketing or media-industry data.
