Summary: You will serve as a Data Architect for a significant software solution, focusing on defining and shaping the data architecture to meet complex business challenges. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, support, and guide data life cycle processes including upgrade, management, archiving, and decommissioning in line with data policies
  • Contribute to and maintain data dictionaries
  • Define and maintain data architecture across metadata, integration, and analytics/data warehouse layers
  • Analyse source data and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define mapping and transformation logic
  • Produce data mapping documentation and data dictionaries for development teams
  • Review existing document data models and identify gaps against new system requirements
  • Design solutions to address data model gaps using appropriate tooling and frameworks
  • Develop and present logical data models for stakeholder review
  • Define new Elasticsearch indices and document models to support evolving requirements
  • Recommend implementation approaches for query performance and data access patterns
  • Estimate and plan delivery of data model enhancements
  • Define delivery approaches aligned with Agile methodologies
  • Act as the primary point of contact for data-related queries within the project team

Job Summary

You will work as a Data Architect on a high-profile, large-scale software solution currently entering the next phase of design. You will define and shape the data architecture, addressing complex business challenges while aligning with enterprise-wide data standards and principles.

This role requires strong hands-on experience designing Elasticsearch document data models (indices, documents, and fields) and working with large-scale datasets (terabyte range), including data extraction, ingestion, mapping, and transformation.

You will review the existing data model and lead the evolution of the design for the next phase, applying industry-standard data modelling techniques and ensuring alignment with organisational data strategy.

You will work closely with engineering and technical teams, acting as the subject matter expert for data architecture and supporting successful delivery.
