Summary: The Data Architect - Azure Migration role involves leading the transformation from a Legacy data platform to Microsoft Azure, enhancing data accessibility and capability. The position requires an experienced professional to define the data migration strategy, design scalable data models, and provide technical leadership throughout the project. Occasional travel to Bristol and Birmingham is expected for meetings and workshops. The contract duration is initially set for 3 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse the existing Legacy data landscape and dependencies
- Define and own the end-to-end data migration strategy to Azure
- Design scalable data models and target-state architecture
- Create clear, actionable migration plans and approaches
- Provide technical leadership and steer the migration project in the right direction, working closely with stakeholders
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role
- Strong background in data modelling, architecture design, and strategy
- Hands-on experience planning and delivering data migrations to Azure
- Ability to manage analysis, make informed design decisions, and guide delivery teams
