Summary: An experienced Data Architect is sought for a 3-month contract focused on a significant data transformation project for a reputable client. This fully remote position requires immediate availability and offers the chance to influence enterprise-level data architecture, ensuring effective integration, governance, and scalability. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain enterprise data architecture, including models, data flows, and integration strategies.
- Define and document architecture frameworks, standards, and design principles.
- Deliver scalable, flexible data solutions aligned with business and technical needs.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across all systems.
- Define and manage principles for data modelling, design, and implementation.
- Lead the design of data integration processes and ensure seamless interoperability between platforms.
- Leverage ETL tools and modern integration technologies to enable efficient data pipelines.
- Collaborate with developers and application architects on data interfaces and APIs.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 12 years' experience in data architecture, data management, or related fields.
- Proven track record of delivering data solutions in complex technical environments.
- Strong background in data modelling, warehousing, and database design.
- Skilled in data modelling tools (eg, ER/Studio, Erwin).
- Expertise with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
- Hands-on experience with data integration platforms (Informatica, Snowflake, Talend, Apache Nifi).
- Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiar with BI tools like Power BI and Tableau.
