Summary: The Data Analyst role involves supporting a customer loyalty and rewards program by enhancing the data foundation for local offers and partnerships. The position requires conducting audits of existing data, cleansing and enriching it, and engaging with stakeholders to validate and improve data accuracy. The analyst will also be responsible for producing recommendations for data management moving forward. This is a remote contract position for three months, classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out a full audit of existing offer and partner data, assessing quality, accuracy, completeness, and performance.
- Cleanse and enrich data using multiple sources (APIs, Companies House, Google Places, Yelp).
- Improve the accuracy and reliability of partner information and associated deals.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to fill gaps and validate missing data.
- Produce recommendations and a clear proposal for how partner data should be managed going forward, presenting this back to the business.
Key Skills:
- SQL skills.
- Comfortable cleansing data and using external sources to enrich and validate it.
- Understanding of the UK retail landscape.
- Experience working with diverse datasets in start-ups, scale-ups, or audience-based products.
- Exposure to local business data, housing or demographic datasets.
- Background in FMCG or public-sector environments is beneficial.
- Able to translate findings into strategic recommendations.
- Confidently engaging with external stakeholders.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Lightdash, Looker, dbt (nice to have).
