Data Analyst | Government Data Programme | Inside IR35
A consultancy partner is looking for an experienced Data Analyst (SC Cleared) to support a long-term central government data programme.
This is a hands-on data role focused on querying, validating and reconciling operational data as it moves into a large data platform. It is not a reporting/dashboard position.
Contract details
- £400/day Inside IR35
- 6 months initially
- Long-term programme with likely extension
- Primarily remote, with occasional onsite attendance
- Active SC preferred, SC-eligible candidates will also be considered
Key responsibilities
- Write, optimise and maintain complex SQL queries
- Validate source data against a POLE-style data model
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues
- Reconcile data as it is loaded into the platform
- Work closely with Data Engineers on mapping and transformation logic
- Explain data structures and findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Essential experience
- Strong hands-on SQL, beyond basic reporting queries
- Experience with POLE or similar entity-based data models
- Data validation, reconciliation and data quality work
- Experience working with large operational datasets
- Comfortable working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
