Summary: The role of Data Analyst involves working with a large local government organization to implement a new Corporate Performance Framework. The position requires the production of dashboards and reports using Power BI, alongside providing analytical support and training to staff. This is a fully remote position initially offered as a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation of the new Corporate Performance Framework currently under development.
- Work with services across the council to understand their data needs and provide tailored analytical support with the production of appropriate dashboards and reports.
- Produce clear, accurate reports, dashboards, and visualisations using Power BI for various stakeholders.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and members on data collection, interpretation, and usage of Power BI reports.
- Gather, clean, and maintain datasets from various council departments and external sources.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with data strategy, data protection, and information governance regulations.
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with data analysts within Strata and partner councils to share best practices and opportunities.
Key Skills:
- Experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in Power BI for data visualisation.
- Strong understanding of data integrity and compliance regulations.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to various stakeholders.
- Experience in training and guiding staff on data-related topics.
