Summary: Chapman Tate is seeking an experienced Data Analyst with expertise in the transportation and logistics sector for a remote, 12-month contract role outside IR35. The position focuses on enhancing supply chain visibility and operational decision-making through data analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will leverage their industry knowledge to provide actionable insights and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong skills in Power BI, SQL, and data storytelling are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs across transportation, warehousing, and fleet operations
  • Clean, model, and analyse logistics data (e.g. routing, deliveries, delays, fuel usage, etc.)
  • Support decision-making through actionable insights and data storytelling
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements
  • Identify data quality issues and recommend solutions
  • Present findings to senior management and non-technical audiences

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst in transportation, logistics, freight
  • Strong skills in Power BI, SQL, Excel, and at least one scripting language (e.g. Python or R)
  • Experience working with datasets from WMS, TMS, ERP, or fleet management systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex data clearly
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment
