Summary: The Data Analyst role is a short-term fixed-term contract position focused on supporting the Analytics & Insights team at Essentra. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating reports and dashboards to monitor sales performance and marketing activities, utilizing tools like Alteryx and Power BI. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to manage large data sets while collaborating with various teams. The role is remote and offers an opportunity to contribute to data-driven decision-making within a fast-growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation of reports & dashboards to monitor sales performance & marketing activities
- Creation of suite of reports to monitor Customer Lifecycle activities
- Day to day management of month end reporting process
- Generates insights and delivers to marketing teams
- Contribute to improvements in Marketing Return on Investment
- Using visualisation software (Power BI) to produce insights, dashboards & reports
- Updates Customer segmentation models
- Updates customer segmentation process each week
- Reviews results and makes appropriate improvements to processes
- Generates insights and delivers these to wider Marketing team
- Data preparation and data blending
- Using Alteryx to manipulate and clean data
- Combining data from disparate sources
- Liaising with IT teams to resolve data quality issues
- Ensures adherence with reporting requirements
- Reviews requirements for reporting and identifies requirements for changes to procedures
- Liaises with Line Manager to develop reporting protocols and define information requirements
- Communicates reporting requirements and coordinates information collection
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business, statistics/analytics, marketing or related field
- Experience in business analysis, continuous improvement / lean manufacturing leadership, analytical role or a related field
- Advanced technical skills in Alteryx are a must
- Good proficiency in PowerBI, data ETL, visualisation tools, MS Office
- Ambitious with the ability to develop and implement strategies in line with the company's business vision
- Excellent problem-solving, reasoning and analytical ability
- Experienced in deploying data-driven decision making
- Ability to interpret complex information and identify improvement opportunities
- Demonstrates an aptitude for attention to detail in their work
- Comfortable dealing with large data sets
