Summary: The D365 F&O Project Manager will lead the implementation of D365 Finance & Operations across multiple European locations and oversee optimization efforts for existing sites. Candidates must possess proven delivery experience specifically in D365 F&O, particularly within finance modules. The role is primarily remote and requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams effectively. The position is outside IR35 and offers a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for the D365 F&O Finance modules.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, budgets, and resource allocation schedules.
- Manage project scope, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Stakeholder management at all levels, from technical teams to senior finance leadership.
- Oversee system configuration, data migration, testing (SIT/UAT), and training activities.
- Lead the remediation workstream for previously implemented D365 F&O modules.
- Conduct detailed root cause analysis of current system issues.
- Define and execute clear action plans to resolve ongoing issues and improve system stability.
- Work closely with functional consultants and technical developers to prioritize and deploy fixes and enhancements.
- Establish best practices for post-go-live support and continuous improvement.
Key Skills:
- Proven, hands-on experience as a Project Manager for D365 F&O implementations.
- Deep understanding of financial business processes (e.g., P2P, O2C, Record to Report).

Our end user client requires a D365 F&O Project Manager to lead an implementation across multiple European locations and to oversee optimisation work for sites where they are already live. Candidates must have proven D365 F&O specific delivery experience to be considered for this role. The role can be completed on a primarily remote basis in the UK.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven, hands-on experience as a Project Manager for D365 F&O (or Dynamics AX) implementations, with a strong emphasis on the Finance modules.
- Deep understanding of financial business processes (e.g., P2P, O2C, Record to Report).
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrable experience in post-go-live stabilisation, remediation, and optimisation projects.
- Proficiency with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Azure DevOps).
- Experience managing both internal teams and external consulting partners/vendors.

- Define and execute clear action plans to resolve ongoing issues and improve system stability and user adoption.
- Work closely with functional consultants and technical developers to prioritise and deploy fixes and enhancements.
- Establish best practices for post-go-live support and continuous improvement.
