Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and oversee testing strategies across the product suite.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the testing team.
- Investigate and oversee the rollout of automation testing tools.
- Perform code reviews for automation tests and frameworks.

- Lead strategic quality initiatives for the Operating Unit.
- Manage the legacy UAT testing process and create a modernization roadmap.
Key Skills:
- 4-8 years of experience in automation testing.
- Proficiency in Cypress automation using JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Strong UI testing skills; API testing skills are a plus.
- Experience with SQL is preferred.
- Computer science degree is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work remotely and manage automation scripts.
- Experience in mentoring and providing technical guidance.

4-8 years experience in Automation
a. Cypress automation experience using either JavaScript or Typescript, would also accept Playwright experience, candidates who only have Selenium
b. If the candidate doesn t have experience in Cypress, Java experience or high-level programming language experience.
c. Strong UI testing skills, API skills are nice to have. They will be testing UI of various we applications. UI is written in Angular. All applications are workflow applications used in the ratings process
d. SQL, nice to have. Strong preference to candidates with computer science degree
e. 18 month contract, 100 remote is okay
f. Not building new framework they are building code for automation scripts
g. Interview process: 1 and done technical screening with several team members. Candidates need to have VS code on Cypress installed on their screen pre interview. If candidates are local, they would love to do an onsite interview either Tuesday or Wednesday s. No Hacker Rank test at this time, we are working with the manager to create screener questions.

Role/Responsibilities:
Test strategy: Planning, implementation, and overall oversight and responsibility for testing approach across the product suite. Document test strategy and best practices and relentlessly drive improvement and implementation.
Test process improvement: Continually review and assess current approach to testing, identify areas for improvement, and propose and implement process enhancements.
Collaboration and leadership: Collaborate with technical peers, cross-functional teams, and business stakeholders to deliver industry-leading automated testing solutions.
Technical testing leadership and guidance to the entire testing team and mentoring less experienced team members.
Test tooling: Investigate and oversee rollout of open source and commercial automation testing tools where appropriate and aligned to Test strategy.
Perform code reviews for automation tests and frameworks.
Train others to improve the automated testing skills of the whole QA team.
Provide technical vision for highly complex ideas and issues to varied audiences including various management levels.
Initiate and lead strategic quality initiatives for the Operating Unit (OU) (e.g., test data management, environment virtualization, security testing, developer and unit test assistance, CI/CD process).
Own and run current legacy UAT testing process and create a roadmap for modernization of the UAT process/approach.
