Summary: The Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Analyst role is a fully remote, 6-month contract position focused on identifying and understanding threats to the organization. The analyst will transform raw data into actionable intelligence, enabling proactive defense strategies. This position requires collaboration with various security teams and the production of clear intelligence reports. The role is classified as outside IR35 with a daily rate of £500.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyse the evolving threat landscape to identify emerging risks and attack trends.
- Collect, process, and enrich raw threat data from open-source, commercial, and internal sources.
- Analyse threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) using established frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
- Produce clear, concise intelligence reports and briefings tailored to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with SOC, incident response, and vulnerability management teams to contextualise threats.
- Develop and maintain threat intelligence feeds, playbooks, and indicator-of-compromise (IoC) libraries.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve the organisation's security posture.
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable experience in a CTI or threat intelligence role within a complex security environment.
- Strong working knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, Diamond Model, and Cyber Kill Chain frameworks.
- Proficiency with threat intelligence platforms (eg Recorded Future, ThreatConnect, MISP, or similar).
- Experience conducting malware analysis, dark web monitoring, and adversary profiling.
- Excellent analytical and written communication skills, with the ability to distil complex data into clear reporting.
- Relevant certifications such as GCTI, CTIA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment with minimal supervision.
