Summary: The Cyber Security Solutions Architect will lead the architecture, design, and consultancy for projects within the Cyber Security portfolio, focusing on a security-first approach to enhance the Cyber Resilience strategy. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure effective delivery and alignment with enterprise architecture standards. The position is remote and is expected to last for six months. The role requires a strong background in cyber security solutions and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design high-level infrastructure, application, business, and network architecture for projects across the Cyber Security and digital portfolios.
  • Create and ensure all designs align to Enterprise Architecture (ArchiMate) and Governance requirements.
  • Review and document low-level architecture design patterns and support models to support technical implementation and service transition.
  • Contribute to project scope and objectives to ensure feasibility of delivery and achieving desired outcomes and benefits.
  • Collaborate with application product delivery teams to ensure that solutions are fit for purpose and support them with architectural challenges throughout the delivery life cycle.
  • Work with relevant Technology, Change Management, and Enterprise Architects to ensure that project outcomes are consistent with the design.
  • Provide design and security engineering support for implementation, test assurance, and service transition.
  • Forge strong relations with a wide variety of stakeholders including technical teams, business users, and senior management.
  • Work with vendors to guide them on solution design and ensure solutions are delivered effectively and aligned to best practices.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect on large-scale programmes within a Cyber Security Portfolio.
  • Working knowledge of security architecture requirements for solution designs, AWS/Azure PaaS, IaaS, SaaS configuration.
  • Experience collaborating with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) to optimise security monitoring and response planning.
  • Knowledge of WAF, Firewall, API Gateway security rules and definitions, with experience in Fortinet and Checkpoint Firewall configuration.
  • Experience in data classification, labelling, and understanding of M365 DLP controls.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Autopilot for device provisioning.
  • Experience with Cyber Security Tools: Fortinet, Checkpoint, Tenable, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, SCCM/Endpoint Manager.
  • Working knowledge of Cyber Essentials, UK DPA/GDPR.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity controls standards and frameworks (CIS, NIST, etc).
  • Experience in assessing or deploying network controls and tools, application packaging and deployment via Microsoft technologies.
  • TOGAF Certified, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP.

Cyber Security Solutions Architect - remote - 6 months £477

The Cyber Security Solution Architect will be responsible for architecture, design, and consultancy on Projects across digital programmes including the Cyber projects within the Cyber Security portfolio. Emphasizing a security-first approach, you will contribute to the design and delivery of solutions to support continuous improvement of the Cyber Resilience strategy.

Skills/experience

  • Proven experience working as a Solution Architect on large scale programmes within a Cyber Security Portfolio. Experience with creating models and flows to represent all solutions that are designed.
  • Working knowledge of security architecture requirements for solution designs, good security practices related to AWS/Azure PaaS, IaaS, SaaS configuration and an understanding of enterprise scale solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) to optimise security monitoring, response planning and execution.
  • WAF, Firewall, API Gateway security rules and definitions. Adept with Fortinet and Checkpoint Firewall configuration and ability to review.
  • Experience working on data classification, labelling and understanding of M365 DLP controls.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Autopilot for device provisioning.

Essential Technical Skills & Qualifications

Experience of the Cyber Security Tools: Fortinet, Checkpoint, Tenable, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, SCCM/Endpoint Manager.

Working knowledge of Cyber Essentials, UK DPA/GDPR.

Knowledge of one or more cybersecurity controls standards and frameworks (CIS, NIST, etc).
