Summary: This role is for a Cyber Security Business Architect tasked with enhancing the cyber security posture of a leading global financial services firm during a digital transformation. The architect will develop business architecture and operating models to align security strategies with business objectives while engaging with C-suite stakeholders. The position requires extensive experience in cyber security and business architecture frameworks. The role is fully remote for a 6-month contract with a competitive day rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document comprehensive Business Architecture for global Cyber Security capabilities using TOGAF and industry-standard frameworks.
  • Create high-level capability maps and detailed operating model views to align security strategy with business objectives.
  • Map current and target-state value streams across core security functions, including Threat Management, SIEM, and Security Operations (SOC).
  • Identify critical capability gaps and inefficiencies, proposing strategic roadmaps for long-term cyber resilience.
  • Facilitate high-stakes workshops with C-suite stakeholders, Risk Management heads, and Technical Architects to reach consensus on the future-state architecture.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience as a Business Architect or Enterprise Architect specifically within a global Banking or Financial Services environment.
  • Deep domain expertise across Cyber Security landscapes, including Vulnerability Management, Cyber Defence, and Incident Response.
  • Mastery of Business Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, BIZBOK) and advanced Capability Modelling techniques.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex Architecture Artefacts and Operating Models in highly regulated, complex organisational structures.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical cyber risks into business-centric value propositions.

We're working with a leading global financial services powerhouse on this exciting opportunity. This is a high-impact contract for a strategic thinker ready to reshape the cyber security posture of a major enterprise during a period of significant digital evolution. As a key architect, you will bridge the gap between complex cyber security requirements and business value streams. You’ll be responsible for designing resilient Operating Models (TOM) that protect billion-dollar assets while ensuring seamless operational efficiency across Cyber Defence and Vulnerability Management domains.
