Key Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity Architect - Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and review end-to-end security architectures for complex IT systems, ensuring alignment with NCSC guidance and frameworks such as the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Identify security risks through structured threat modelling and ensure mitigations are incorporated into system and network designs.
- Ensure solutions meet UK government security requirements, including standards from UK Government Security Group and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Work with engineers, developers, and senior stakeholders to embed security-by-design across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
- Architect systems that support monitoring, detection, and response capabilities in line with guidance from the National Cyber Security Centre.
Cybersecurity Architect - Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience in cyber security architecture or security engineering, designing secure enterprise or government-grade systems across network, cloud, and application environments.
- Strong knowledge of recognised security frameworks and standards, such as the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and ISO/IEC 27001.
- Demonstrable experience performing threat modelling and risk assessments, applying methodologies such as STRIDE or MITRE ATT&CK to inform secure system design.
- Experience designing secure architectures in modern environments, including major cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Relevant professional certifications or equivalent expertise, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or SABSA Chartered Security Architect.
