Cyber Operations Transition Manager

Context

The client is looking for an experienced Cyber Operations Transition Manager to lead the transition, transformation, and operational governance of cybersecurity services across multiple security domains.

The role will oversee a team of Product Owners covering OT Security, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, and Security Operations, while ensuring sustainable operating models, service excellence, and alignment with cybersecurity strategy, business priorities, risk management, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Cyber Operations portfolio across OT Security, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, SOC, Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response.
  • Define and maintain the Cyber Operations operating model, governance structure, KPIs, SLAs, service reviews, and executive reporting.
  • Lead service transitions from MSSPs and external partners to internal teams or GCC organizations.
  • Develop and execute transition roadmaps covering people, processes, technology, and governance.
  • Manage knowledge transfer, service acceptance criteria, operational readiness, and business continuity throughout transition phases.
  • Manage and coach Product Owners responsible for the different Cyber Operations domains.
  • Oversee portfolio prioritization, roadmaps, budgets, resources, service maturity, and delivery.
  • Drive operational excellence across Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Manage cybersecurity vendors, MSSPs, and strategic partners, including contractual performance and service improvement.
  • Lead governance forums, steering committees, and operational reviews.
  • Act as a key interface between the CISO Office, IT Infrastructure, Digital Operations, Product Owners, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Translate cybersecurity strategy into executable operational roadmaps.
  • Support strategic initiatives including Zero Trust, OT Security, Endpoint Protection, CNAPP/CSPM, Vulnerability Management, SOC Transformation, and Security Automation.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, IT Operations, or Security Service Management.
  • 5+ years of experience managing cybersecurity programs, services, or operational teams.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale service transitions and operating model transformations.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and Product Owner organizations.
  • Strong experience within global organizations and outsourced / managed service environments.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • OT / Industrial Cybersecurity
  • Endpoint Security – Tanium, Microsoft Defender, EPM, Hardening
  • Cloud Security – Azure, AWS, GCP, CNAPP, CSPM
  • SOC & Incident Response
  • Vulnerability Management
  • Identity & Access Management
  • SIEM & Security Analytics
  • Security Governance & Compliance
  • Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, vendor governance, and leadership capabilities.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications

CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ITIL, SABSA, Microsoft Security, or SANS/GIAC certifications are considered an advantage.
