We are looking for highly experienced people who have specifically worked within classification chapters 84 - 88 who can help build out the data in our classification engine or assist with project work. Ideally 3-5 years' experience in these areas. You will have expertise in bringing goods across borders particularly into the UK and EU and an in-depth knowledge of tariff codes for customs entry, international customs regulations, and the certificates and paperwork required for different products. You will have detailed knowledge and understanding of classification and be able to use all the appropriate tools such as Tariff Books, Explanatory Notes, WCO, BTI’s etc., you will fully understand the methodology and logic of classification and understand the GRI’s and when to apply them. You will be able to distinguish goods based on the nuances of classification, with specialist knowledge of components and parts that are procured in the sector where you are experienced. You will naturally be meticulous and detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance. This would be an occasional consultancy role, on a contracted day-rate basis.
