Summary: The Curriculum Consultant for Data Engineering will be responsible for designing and planning a new Level 5 apprenticeship course in Data Engineering. This role involves mapping the curriculum, integrating self-study modules, and collaborating with the learning design team to ensure high-quality course delivery. The position is remote and offers flexibility in working hours. The ideal candidate should possess experience in apprenticeship curriculum development and a strong understanding of data engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Map out and plan the curriculum for a Level 5 Data Engineering apprenticeship course.
- Determine the order of learning and integrate self-study modules with instructor-led learning.
- Design requirements for each area of learning.
- Collaborate with the learning design team to ensure high-quality course completion.
Key Skills:
- Experience with apprenticeship curriculum and understanding of apprenticeship regulations and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including pipelines, cloud architecture, ETL/ELT, data modelling, and governance.
- Confidence in mapping out curriculum.
- Ability to recommend tools, technologies, and lab environments for hands-on learning.

Curriculum Consultant – Data Engineering Contract Daily rate contract role Starting: as soon as possible Location: Remote based Full or part time hours Company Instinct are working with a fantastic organisation who specialise in apprenticeship courses. They focus on a range of subject areas including Data, IT Infrastructure, Digital Marketing and Sustainability. They are currently creating a Level 5 apprenticeship course covering Data Engineering.
Role This role will include mapping out and planning the curriculum for a new Level 5 Data Engineering apprenticeship course. This will include mapping out the order of learning, planning where self-study modules will fit into instructor led learning and designing what is required for each area of learning. Once the high-level curriculum design is complete, you will work closely with the learning design team and offer input where needed to ensure the course is completed to a high standard.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- Experience working with apprenticeship curriculum and understanding apprenticeship regulations and frameworks
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including pipelines, cloud architecture, ETL/ELT, data modelling, and governance.
- Confident in mapping out curriculum
- Recommend the tools, technologies, and lab environments needed for hands-on learning
