Summary: The Creative Director role is a long-term contract position focused on enhancing the visual brand presence for a leading food retail organization in Lakeland, Florida. The ideal candidate will lead a creative team, translating marketing goals into impactful campaigns across various channels. This position requires a blend of hands-on leadership, team development, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure cohesive brand storytelling. Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and motivate a cross-disciplinary creative team, fostering high standards across art direction, copy, and integrated campaign development.
  • Set the creative vision for marketing initiatives and guide projects from concept through final execution while maintaining a cohesive brand identity.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders across marketing, media, digital, social, production, and external agencies to align creative output with business priorities.
  • Evaluate and refine campaign ideas, ensuring each deliverable reflects strong storytelling, visual excellence, and consistency across touchpoints.
  • Oversee the creation of print, digital, and video assets, including social content, advertising materials, short-form storytelling, product-focused videos, and internal brand communications.
  • Lead the development of scripts, storyboards, and visual frameworks that strengthen narrative impact and support motion-driven content.
  • Manage schedules, workflows, and creative priorities to keep projects on track while meeting quality expectations and deadlines.
  • Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and growth opportunities that help creative team members expand their skills and performance.

Key Skills:

  • Proven background serving as a Creative Director or Associate Creative Director, or substantial equivalent experience in a senior creative leadership path such as Art Direction or Copywriting.
  • Demonstrated success leading creative professionals and delivering large-scale, multi-channel projects from ideation through launch.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities with the confidence to influence stakeholders and articulate creative rationale clearly.
  • Solid understanding of brand development, marketing strategy, and audience-centered creative decision-making.
  • Practical experience directing photo or video shoots and collaborating effectively with production teams on set.
  • Deep knowledge of the full creative process, including concept generation, design execution, copy development, and integrated campaign delivery.
  • Proficiency with core design tools and creative platforms, including Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Illustrator, along with strong graphic design capability.
  • Expertise in combining visual elements such as typography, photography, illustration, color, iconography, animation, and video into effective brand communications.
