Summary: The role of Interim Finance Business Analyst involves supporting a local government client's budget setting process, including council tax and collaboration with various councils. The position is fully remote and is expected to last until March 2026, with a preference for full-time hours. Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Council's budget setting process, including council tax setting and working with the Town & Parish Councils and the Police to collate the annual precepts.
- Assessing the Council's overall budget envelope and control of service budget totals to ensure a balanced budget position.
- Monitoring and forecasting of corporate grant funding, collection fund monitoring.
- Preparing reports and presentations to senior managers and cabinet.
- Proactively horizon scanning for new funding and other announcements that have the potential to impact on the Council's finances.
Key Skills:
- Previous local authority specific experience in finance.
- Experience in council tax setting/collection fund within a corporate finance role.
- Fully qualified in finance or qualified by experience.

Job Opportunity – Interim Finance Business Analyst – Fully Remote! One of my local Government clients are currently on the lookout for a Finance Business Analyst to join their team on a contract which will likely run until the end of March 2026.
Finance Business Analyst Contract Length: 6 Months + Pay Rate: DOE Days: X5 p/w preference (may be able to consider part time). Start Date: August Fully Remote
Key Responsibilities:
