Summary: We are seeking a Corporate Accountant with expertise in Private Credit or Private Equity to join a prominent Alternative Asset Management firm. The role requires strong client-facing or consulting experience, along with a comprehensive understanding of the private debt lifecycle and accounting processes. The position is remote and focuses on maintaining accurate financial records and compliance within the private credit sector. The ideal candidate will also be involved in financial reporting and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger for private credit entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Handle month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare financial statements and investor reports in accordance with GAAP.
  • Track and account for all phases of the Private Debt Lifecycle, including:
    • Deal origination and structuring
    • Capital calls and funding
    • Interest income accrual and fee recognition
    • Amendments, restructurings, and credit events
    • Loan repayments, prepayments, and exits
  • Collaborate with investment, tax, and audit teams for accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Support capital account maintenance, performance analysis, and waterfall distributions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in private credit operations and controls.
