Summary: The role of Contract Software Developer (Java/Data) involves building high-quality software applications from solution design to delivery for a longstanding client. The position is remote and has a duration of 6 months, classified as outside IR35. Key Responsibilities:
- Build high-quality software applications from solution design to delivery.
- Develop software using Java SE/EE frameworks, Spring MVC, and RESTful Web Services.
- Design and develop SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for ETL processes.
- Create and maintain scripts and automation solutions using PowerShell.
- Work with various databases including SQL, NoSQL, and MySQL.
- Engage with clients to communicate technology and decisions clearly.
Key Skills:
- Experience with Java SE/EE frameworks, Spring MVC, and RESTful Web Services.
- Proficiency in designing and developing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages.
- Ability to create automation solutions using PowerShell.
- Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and MySQL databases.
- Strong client interaction and communication skills.

We are looking for a contract Software Developer to help us build high quality software applications, from solution design right through to delivery. You’ll be working with one of our longstanding clients, helping to build solutions that add real world value.
Location : Remote
Duration : 6 months, Outside IR35
What you’ll bring to Answer
- Experience building software with a variety of technology including Java SE/EE frameworks, Spring MVC and RESTful Web Services
- Experience in designing and developing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages to facilitate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scripts and automation solutions using PowerShell
- Experience working with databases (SQL, NoSQL and MySQL)
- Client or end user interaction experience, with the ability to communicate with customers clearly and explaining the technology and decisions you make
It would be great if you also had experience in some of these, but if not we’ll help you with them:
- We use both Javascript and HTML/CSS for our front end development, so a passion/appreciation for one would be great!
- An appreciation for DevOps principles, including CI/CD and Cloud technologies
- Design skills (OO, Enterprise Integration, Web Services, User Interface)
