Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the current ecosystem of legal applications and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Streamline, integrate, and modernize tools and workflows across the legal function.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical consultancy and solution design.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Consultant in enterprise environments.
- Strong background in JavaScript engineering, ideally with React and Node.js.
- Solid understanding of integration architecture and API-driven systems.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably in Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Exposure to legal technology applications such as iManage, Legal Tracker, HighQ, and others.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Previous experience in discovery, assessment, or solution design projects.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in regulated industries.

Software Engineering (Lead Level) Up to £550 per day (Outside IR35) Start date ASAP Fully Remote Working closely with the Head of Legal and engineering teams, you’ll play a key role in assessing the current ecosystem of legal applications , identifying opportunities to streamline, integrate, and modernise tools and workflows across the function. This is a hands-on technical consultancy role requiring a blend of software engineering expertise, solution design, and stakeholder engagement within a regulated enterprise environment.
Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Technical Lead , Solutions Engineer , or Technical Consultant within enterprise environments. Strong background in JavaScript engineering – ideally with React and Node.js . Solid understanding of integration architecture and API-driven systems. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – preferably across Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . Exposure to or experience integrating with legal technology applications (e.g. iManage, Legal Tracker, HighQ, Contract Lifecycle Management tools, TrustArc, OneTrust). Strong analytical and communication skills — able to bridge business and technical teams effectively. Previous experience in discovery, assessment, or solution design projects highly desirable. Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance considerations in regulated industries.
