Summary: Heggerty is seeking experienced facilitators to deliver high-quality professional development to educators and school leaders, focusing on evidence-based literacy practices. The role involves facilitating both virtual and in-person training sessions, adapting to the unique needs of schools, and managing logistics for these sessions. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in structured literacy and prior experience in consulting and professional development delivery. This contract position requires flexibility and extensive travel during peak demand periods throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate engaging, research-based training sessions on the Heggerty curriculum, both virtually and in-person.
  • Tailor training approaches to meet the unique contexts of schools and districts.
  • Coordinate professional development sessions, including scheduling and sharing materials.
  • Participate in onboarding, routine training, and internal meetings for product updates.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for participants during professional development sessions.
  • Independently manage travel and scheduling commitments during peak training seasons.
  • Act as a liaison between Heggerty and partners, ensuring effective communication of issues and needs.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, literacy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in literacy instruction or structured literacy.
  • Experience delivering professional development in various formats.
  • Prior classroom teaching experience with a foundation in evidence-based literacy practices.
  • Familiarity with Heggerty curricula and instructional approaches aligned with the Science of Reading.
  • Expertise in using educational technologies for learning support.
  • Strong facilitation skills for engaging adult learners.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
