Summary: The role of Contract Data Analyst (Looker BI) involves leveraging advanced data analytics to provide insights for financial organizations. The position requires expertise in Looker and Google Cloud Platform, focusing on dashboard creation and data modeling. The analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data quality and alignment with cloud infrastructure best practices. This is a fully remote contract position with a duration of six months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in turning complex data into meaningful insights and business value.
- Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and understand data needs.
- Designing and building Looker dashboards and reports, using LookML and SQL to deliver accurate and scalable data models.
- Interpreting large datasets to provide actionable insights and drive decision-making.
- Ensuring high data quality through validation, testing, and troubleshooting data inconsistencies.
- Partnering with engineering and cloud teams to ensure data pipelines and models align with GCP infrastructure best practices.
Key Skills:
- Proven commercial experience as a Data Analyst (4+ years).
- Strong hands-on experience with Looker, including dashboard creation, data modelling (LookML), and report development.
- Advanced SQL skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets.
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery.
- Ability to present data insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working as a Data Analyst in the Financial Services sector (desirable).
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems in a BI/reporting context.
