Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a content strategy to support lead-generation campaigns, defining content pillars and audience segments.
  • Own and drive an editorial calendar for consistent content across various channels.
  • Write and produce key pillar content, including whitepapers, guides, and ebooks.
  • Repurpose content for increased awareness across different platforms.
  • Write and/or edit email campaigns, social media content, and customer case studies.
  • Communicate research effectively to resonate with diverse audience segments.
  • Coordinate with founders and staff to ghostwrite or co-author articles and blogs.
  • Ensure website content is updated and optimized for messaging and keywords.
  • Collaborate with designers and freelancers to develop content and visual assets.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in a Content Marketing role within education, edtech, or publishing.

OxEd & Assessment (OxEd) is a University of Oxford spinout company launched to take decades of research in language assessment and intervention through to practical application in schools. OxEd develops early education oral language assessment and intervention programs, which have been shown through rigorous research to improve educational outcomes for children. We are a growing startup, working with Ministries of Education, channel partners and directly with Schools and Districts globally, with customers in the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Paraguay and the Middle East. We are in the fortunate position of having an established and robust research base demonstrating the efficacy of our products. As we look to drive growth and ensure as many students can benefit from our intervention program as possible, we are looking to hire a Content Marketing Manager to own our content strategy, creating high-quality content to support our lead generation and customer success activity. While this role will support all content creation, the US will be a priority as a key growth market for us. You’ll be joining a small marketing team, currently 2 people, so be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. This is an exciting time to join OxEd and your work will directly influence growth and customer engagement. You’ll be joining a company with a shared ambition to improve education outcomes for as many children as possible. This is a full-time role, working remotely in the UK. You must have the legal right to work in the UK. We offer 25 days annual leave. The salary for this role is £40k-£50k depending on experience. What you’ll be working on:

  • In partnership with the Marketing Director, create a content strategy to support key lead-gen campaigns, defining content pillars and audience segments.
  • Own and drive an editorial calendar to ensure consistent touchpoints across email, social, blog, sales enablement, etc, while maintaining a focus on our key growth markets.
  • Write and produce key pillar content, including whitepapers, educator how-to guides, and ebooks.
  • Repurpose content for other channels to drive increased awareness, including infographics, social and email content.
  • Write and/or edit email campaigns (supporting lead gen, customer communications and newsletters), social media, customer case studies and flyers.
  • Communicate our research in ways that resonate with different audience segments.
  • Coordinate with founders and other key staff to ghost write or co-author articles, blogs and other thought leadership.
  • Ensure website pages are updated with key content as produced and, where necessary, updated and optimised for messaging and keywords.
  • Collaborate with designers and freelancers to develop content and visual assets.
  • Monitor content performance, identifying high-performing content.
