Summary: Our East Coast based client is seeking a fully remote Consulting QA / Test Engineer with E-commerce platform experience, preferably Magento / Adobe Commerce Cloud. The role involves manual and automated testing of E-commerce features, validating front-end functionality, and testing various integrations and workflows. The ideal candidate will work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality assurance across the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manual and Automated testing of E-Commerce features, enhancements, and bug fixes; validating front end functionality across browsers and devices
- Testing API Integrations (REST / SOAP / GraphQL)
- Using defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, etc.
- Testing UI behavior / interactions with Alpine.js; validating layouts and styling responsiveness implemented with Tailwind CSS; verifying E-Commerce workflows (catalog browsing, search, cart, checkout, customer accounts, promotions)
- Testing integrations with ERP, CRM, WMS, Payment Gateways, and Customer Experience Platforms
- Writing queries in SQL to validate data
- Verifying Admin Workflows (product, pricing, promotions, orders, inventory, customer management, and system configuration); identifying, documenting, and tracking defects with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, and logs
- Executing Performance / Load testing
Key Skills:
- Experience with testing API Integrations (REST / SOAP / GraphQL)
- Experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, etc.
- Ability to test UI behavior / interactions with Alpine.js; validate layouts and styling responsiveness implemented with Tailwind CSS
- Experience testing integrations with ERP, CRM, WMS, Payment Gateways, and Customer Experience Platforms
- Working knowledge of GIT and other collaborative development tools
- Ability to effectively write queries in SQL to validate data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on documentation
- Experience developing QA Plan (Requirements Analysis, Test Planning, Test Case Development, Environment Setup, Test Execution, Test Cycle Closure)
- Experience with Automated testing tools (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium)
