OPPORTUNITY: Consultant Digital Communications Specialist for the WorkWise for Screen Programme | 14,450 + VAT | 18-months part-time contract commencing 4 November 2024 | Home based (with occasional travel) | Deadline: noon 21 October 2024 Summary of Services Required WorkWise for screen requires a strong communicator to support this new programme in its pilot period by delivering well-timed and useful information and announcements for the programme and its work. Robust campaign planning and content creation will be at the heart of a successful promotional drive to launch WorkWise for Screen in its first 18 months with particular focus on building awareness of and driving traffic to the Programme. Objectives Create awareness of and raise the profile of WorkWise for Screen nationally and regionally in the four nations Help build the WorkWise brand and reflect key communication themes for the programme. Reach a wide range of WorkWise target audiences production companies, screen industry employees and freelancers, stakeholders and funders. Key activity Conveying all WorkWise for Screen news and updates across a number of platforms. Organising and managing all WorkWise for Screen social channels including instituting a content plan for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn Promote the WorkWise for Screen podcast series and make use of its content across the WorkWise channels in agreement with the podcast team Deliver all communication activity within the WorkWise brand and values using the assets provided Liaise closely with the WorkWise programme team re. content ideas. Ensuring copyright and crediting across all WW comms channels in line with the brand and any funding requirements Generating new content for and creating a regular newsletter via Mailchimp Providing timely updates of work for WorkWise team meetings. Monthly monitoring of analytics for social channels with programme team Working within agreed budgets when required. About WorkWise for Screen WorkWise for Screen is a new 1.5m pilot programme delivered by Counterculture and led by Creative Industries lawyer, Keith Arrowsmith, which will provide industry with practical resources and guidance covering a range of topics to support equity, inclusion and respect in the workplace. Developed in consultation with industry stakeholders, WorkWise for Screen is a free to access online portal, a podcast series and a peer-to-peer network targeted at screen sector SMEs and Heads of Department, working across production, animation, VFX, gaming, distribution and exhibition. It offers support to help industry navigate imminent changes to UK employment law under the new Employment Rights Bill, as well as providing legal contracting and policy templates, e-learning modules and relevant advice and guidance. A podcast programme, live talks and events, a regular newsletter, and quarterly magazine, will also cover the most pressing topics on good work , and relevant employment law and HR updates.
