Summary: The role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) Consultant at Arootah involves providing expert advisory services to Hedge Funds and Family Offices. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct best practice reviews.
- Develop realistic and effective action plans.
- Break down goals into actionable steps.
- Advise on vendor selection and oversight.
- Create and implement policies, procedures, and control measures.
- Evaluate client progress toward goals using KPIs and scoring matrices.
- Manage special projects or other areas of need.
- Negotiate and handle contracts with outside counsel and fund services.
- Establish policies and procedures for investment accounting functions.
- Create and manage infrastructure for business functions including HR, Accounting, Operations, IT, Compliance, and Marketing.
- Collaborate with CEO/Founder on strategy and performance management.
- Oversee company operations and employee productivity.
- Analyze internal operations for process enhancement and cost savings.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement business strategies aligned with objectives.
- Assess risk in business decisions and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Manage control issues with transparency and accountability.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Operations, or related field.
- MBA, Juris Doctor, M.S. in Operations, or advanced degree is a plus.
- 12+ years of experience as a Chief Operating Officer at a Hedge Fund or Family Office.
- Extensive knowledge of the investment management industry and technology.
- Proven financial acumen and critical thinking skills.
